Technical Stuff

fukanzenNET was purchased on July 13, 2007 as a surprise birthday present from my friends Eve and Corina. It officially opened one week later. I am hosted alongside Eve at SurpassHosting, which is the same company that registered the domain.

Domain

fukanzen (Japanese): imperfect, incomplete

This name is a constant reminder of things I want to strive for. I know there is no such thing as "perfection" when it comes to art, but I interpret it as "the best one can be". As for "completion", I want to finish everything I set out to do, not just stop halfway. This is my resolution as a web designer, and this name won't let me forget it.

Missing Peace, the fancier name of this collective, is a strange pun/play on words. "Missing piece" perfectly coincides with the meaning of "fukanzen", but I chose to use the other "peace". In this way, I want to refer to the unrest in my creativity, where I want to achieve so much, but obviously can't do it all easily. ...This is the clearest way I can think to explain it, so if it doesn't make sense, just take it as is. ♥
