Calling me
Yay, you found the page where I get to rant about myself! My legal name is Vanessa, and although I have a few aliases, I will always talk about myself using this name. I'm a native-born Filipino who moved to the United States in 1999. I have resided on the east coast ever since. While I like think I hold many different occupations (e.g. procrastinator, fangirl, shinijarist), my only "true calling" is being a student.
Hobbies, hobbies, hobbies. As you can see, I really enjoy graphic and web designing, and it consumes a lot of my time on the computer. I've got a passion for anime and manga, and my tastes range from action-packed shounen to involving slice-of-life titles. Sewing is the newest thing I've picked up, since I'm a total cosplay wannabe. Other than that I have the usual laundry list of stuff, e.g. watching movies, hanging out, etc.
As for personality...people tell me I act mature for my age, and I tend to give off a very serious air when I'm around others. This is not completely true, because unlike Mr. Emo-Pants Ulquiorra, I do laugh, cry, etc. I never say all that I want to, which is probably why I write so much. I'm extremely easy-going and pleasant to a fault.
Of course, with all that comes my unpredictable moods and temper. I haven't had a healthy sleep pattern for the past year, so I tend to flare up really easily. I've been an introvert for as long as I can remember, and I don't think I've met someone that I can fully open up to. I frequently avoid asking someone for help in fear of bothering them or asking too much of them, i.e. I would accept a hamburger rather than demand the cheeseburger I actually ordered.
That isn't much of a summary of me, since I've got plenty more facets, most of which are contradictory. Oh well.
Shininjarist?
In case anyone may be wondering what this is, I'll be happy to oblige. The word is a combination of shinigami, ninja, and terrorist. Besides the "terrorist" part, which has a story of its own, I am extremely fascinated with the other two entities, especially their interpretations in Bleach and Naruto, respectively.
Long story short, Eve and I were being very silly one day and through some crazy connections ended up fusing those names to form my "ultimate occupation". Yeah, we're that awesome. =D
